Wait, PS. I regret not titling this, “So a woman walks into a sandwich shop…” 🤭

MENTIONED/RESOURCES:

Please keep in mind that, as usual, I am just sharing what I do for my health and fitness and apps that I use/prefer. This is not medical or fitness advice, as I am NOT a medical or fitness professional. I'm just a diehard fitness enthusiast. ❤️

  1. Simple Intermittent Fasting App - I’ve been using this app for over a year (almost two?). There are plenty of fasting apps, but ultimately, I chose and stuck with this one because I like their ease of use, design, and colors. It comes down to personal preference.

  2. Consistency: the Paper Towel Analogy | SoheeFit - I love this analogy! Using two paper towels, Sohee shows that while you can’t always see progress when you’re consistent, progress is happening!

  3. 30-Day Wardrobe Challenge Update: Okay, this was a fun thirty days. I had a few pajamas and workout clothes days, but that was fine. For the most part, I thought about what I was wearing and, most importantly, wore things that had previously been collecting dust.

Oh, good grief, I went from loose jeans to tight jeans by the end of the month. I’m looking at you heavenly sweet treats and overindulgence. 🙃 I have a workout plan in place for January as I rarely broke a sweat in December, as I was more focused on my mental health and joyously stuffing my face. (See below for plan)

My greatest takeaway was that I could probably dress up a bit more. I’ll probably go with dressier shoes, or maybe I’ll get into accessories. We’ll see!

  4. MyFitnessPal - food tracker - Note: take their caloric intake calculations with a grain of salt. Check out this video from Kesha Collins. She mentions the TDEE Calculator, which I’ve used to calculate my calories. I think it’s spot on, but do your due diligence. Of course, if it don’t apply, let it fly. Calculating calories may not be for you.

  5. I know, I know, I said in this episode that I don’t believe in intuitive eating. That’s still true, but there’s more than one way to skin a cat. So, if you’re interested in intuitive eating, check out this “What I Eat in a Day” video from Lidia Mera. Her meals and snacks always look so yummy and tempting.

Also, check out her “What I Eat in a Day” YouTube shorts, like THIS and THIS.

  6. *My January 2024 workouts will include more outdoor walks and…

    1. An in-person dance class!! More on this after a couple of classes🤩

    2. Time in the gym! I am aiming for 1-2x a week. More deets soon.

    3. Millionaire Hoy (Pro500 Ultra - fat-burning program)

    4. Julia Reppel (mobility)

    5. 빅씨스 Bigsis (strength and cardio)

*Please see below for sample workouts from the aforementioned online fitness instructors. I’ve done all three of the workouts featured below and recommend them. You can modify them or make them more intense at will.

Note: If you have the HoyPro app, Mill Hoy’s Pro500 Ultra Challenge should be live later TODAY, Sunday, 1/7/24… I am unsure if it will be available on YouTube. . .

EDIT/UPDATE (1/9/24)

WOOT! WOOT! Day 1 of Millionaire Hoy’s PRO 500 is now up on YouTube!

35 Min PRO 500 ULTRA INITIATION - EXTREME NO EQUIPMENT HIIT WORKOUT | Millionaire Hoy

  1. Happy New Year HIIT Party | Millionaire Hoy - This full-body dumbbell HIIT workout kicked my butt in a good way. It was pretty intense and featured more tuck jumps than I bargained for. 😅 Nowadays, it’s rare for me to do a straight 60-minute workout. I usually do several short workouts that add up to sixty minutes. I look forward to doing more of his sixty-minute workouts this month!

  2. 10 Min, Hip Mobility | Beginner-Friendly | Julia Reppel (You might notice that some of her workouts say #OER. It stands for “own every rep.”)

  3. 40-Min Strength/Aerobics/Abs workout | 빅씨스 BIGSIS | You can use light weights or no weights for this routine. FYI, BigSis also has a Music Only, no voiceover YouTube channel HERE
