Hey SnackySays Subscribers, Hey!
Happy June! How are you doing today? Looks like we are halfway through the year, already. Boo!...or Yay? I'm undecided, LOL.
Let's get into this month's "5 Things" for our newsletter!
1. Joddie in 15 Seconds!
On a lark, I posted a YouTube Short of my lunch. Then the next day I posted a "What I Eat in a Day" short..and then the following day, I posted a Happy Big Hair Day short...
I decided that I could do this every day.
This feels DOable. Emphasis on the doing! I'm literally just filming things I am doing anyway. Nothing to plan. No muss, no fuss.
Do you watch YouTube shorts? Do you post YouTube shorts? Either way, please respond to this email with your favorites! You know that I am a big fan of YouTube University! Thank you✨
2. New 30-Day Program from Michelle & Aimee✨
Release and Reclaim is a 30-day guided journey to shed what no longer serves you & step into your delicious new chapter! Check out my behind-the-scenes video of the Release and Reclaim program here!
I've literally purchased every program that Michelle & Aimee have launched because I love their energy & vibe. And I am so excited to jump into this one! #truefan
Good news! If like me, you're already a Magic is You member R&R is included in your membership!
If you're not already an MIU member, no worries! Release & Reclaim is only $44. Bonus: It will give you a pretty good idea of what it's like to be part of the mindset shift magic!
Release & Reclaim includes:
1. A beautiful 30-day journal with delicious practices and articles to guide you through the work of decluttering and stepping into your higher self. **In this video, I said that I would print the journal. NO NEED. You can complete it on your tablet OR computer! 🙃
2. A hub of daily curated videos, audios, and articles selected and created by Michelle and Aimee
3. THREE live group calls with Michelle and Aimee (the calls are on June 18, July 1, and July 20; access to replays is included)
3. Fun & Games, Anyone?
Thoughtworthy Co got me feeling like I need to add a Fun & Games Day to my workout routine! Also, loving their lowkey approach to movement & minimalism.
4. YouTube University: Intermittent Fasting
Dominique Sasche with Dr. Nashat Latib on Intermittent Fasting for Women. This is one of the best videos that I've seen on IF. And I've watched A LOT of IF videos this year. Topics include eating as functional medicine, the effects of alcohol (with some organic wine suggestions), genetic analysis & more! It's a pretty comprehensive discussion.
I've been intermittent fasting since November 2021 and I'm still learning what works best for me. Currently, I'm doing 16:8. I eat for 8 hours (usually 7:30 am - 3:30 pm) and fast for 16 hours. I use the Simple app to help keep track of my intermittent fasting. It's really been a game-changer to have the data on hand.
To hear more about my food journey, listen to my SnackySays podcast episodes:
1. Fitness Apps that I Use & Love
2. On Eating: Do What's FUN & Works for You NOW.
More intermittent fasting videos that I learned from/enjoyed:
1. Intermittent Fasting Guide for Women - Lacey Baier
2. The Insane Benefits of Fasting & Foods You Need to STOP Eating! - Dr. Rangan Chatterjee with Dr. Pradip Jamnadas
3. 5 Intermittent Fasting Tips for Your Ravenous Hunger - Dr. Sten Ekberg
4. What I Eat in a Day| Intermittent Fasting *Realistic* - Caitlin Lindsey
⬆️⬆️ All of these YouTubers have several intermittent fasting videos. These stood out to me but take a 👀 at their channels for videos that you might prefer.
Are you interested in IF or currently intermittent fasting? If you check out any of these videos, please let me know what you think!
5. SnackySays Podcast
If you haven't already, please check out my SnackySays podcast! Some of the original audio content from the blog is now available on the podcast. Including my personal favorite and most popular post - Interviewing My Mom: Mrs. Norma Taylor - Fitness Through the Decades!
BRAWTA
1. Happy to discover that I'm not the only person pondering the question, "Why are American Chips So Boring?"
2. After MONTHS, of struggling to prepare tofu, this fish sauce made my tofu dreams come true. That and replacing nonstick pans.
3. Oh snap!! Step is back and it's better than EVER!! Man, I used to love me some step aerobics! #goodtimes
And last but certainly not least, my cousin shared this "When I Find my Artwork in the Garage" video with me and I could not stop laughing! I legit watched it 10 times straight!
Thanks for reading this month's newsletter! I hope that you are having a wonderful day/eve/night and that you had something yummy to eat today!
Love,
Joddie 🌺
