1. New Podcast, who dis?
My new podcast was inspired by Michelle & Aimee. Michelle because her April Planner Girl Insiders mastermind call topic was "Piece of Cake Podcasting". On the same day as the PGI mastermind, I listened to Aimee's episode re: creative practice challenges.
The SnackySays podcast is about whatever is on my mind. Absolutely inspired by the aptly named, "Leonie Dawson Refuses to be Categorized" podcast.
If you CLICK HERE, you’ll notice that I’ve been publishing episodes for the past month. No fanfare or special announcements (till now!!). There was no particular reason, but it allowed me to iron out some kinks. (2024 UPDATE: the SnackySays Podcast is now on Substack not anchor)

2. Cocktail Hour, Hiccup!
So in February, I hit a fitness milestone of losing 20 pounds. As mentioned in my April blog post, I lost 30 pounds total! 🎉🎉 To celebrate, I booked an online cocktail class!
This class featured my favorite liquor: Rum!! As a woman of Jamaican heritage, I had to pull out my Wray & Nephew!
My beloved Andrea joined me and WE HAD A BLAST!!! It was so much fun hanging out, shaking drinks with proper cocktail shakers, and eating grilled seafood! We laughed a lot!!! The cocktails we made were mojitos, daiquiris, and Caribbean Moscow mules.
My favorite was the daiquiri, hands down. Before this class, daiquiris made me think of brain freeze and tiny umbrellas. LOL. This cocktail was smooth and refreshing, and I could see it becoming my go-to order at a bar.
We booked via the College of Southern Maryland's Continuing Education Department. However, you don’t have to live in Maryland to book with our instructor Brooke Brown! She's extremely knowledgeable and personable! We're definitely gonna take another one of her classes! Check out her website HERE.

Not a week goes by that France doesn't pop up in my life.

I have this vision of waking up in Paris on my birthday this year. My birthday is in December. Let's see if I send you a quick newsletter from there! 💌

5. BEST THING I WATCHED THIS MONTH
5 Simple Daily Habits to Change You Forever - This video resonated with me. Great perspective on habits and change. The first part also reminded me of Mel Robbins, "Here's Exactly What To Do" podcast. During episode 2, she talks about visualizing the outcome you want and the obstacles along the way. It sounded simple because it was, but I was still like, yes! Very doable!
